Now it started off pretty decent, there wasn't any snow where we were located at in the trees at Monashka Bay. But as the night went on it started to snow and it was coming down through the trees as big slushy raindrops. Therefore eventually we were all huddled around the tiny campfire with soaked outer layers. Luckily my base layers were dry (for the most part) and my sleeping bag eventually warmed me up. Even more lucky for me I had placed my tent up a little higher than where the guys had placed their tents because in the morning due to ~6 inches of snow coming down in the night then melting their tents and our campfire ring was flooded. I woke up to two of the guys in their thermals getting ready to drive into town to get dry layers. Tony then made us all a lovely breakfast of scrambled eggs & sausage. After that we all headed back because we were ready to feel our fingers again. Even though it was cold and wet I'm glad I went because I got some outdoor time which I deeply needed. (I don't really consider what we did snow camping but that's what Adrian called it so I'm slightly using sarcasm, I know it can be hard to pick up without tone).

Sorry for the blur- My tent in the AM, you can see a little snow around it & also all the snow through the trees.

On the drive back, winter wonderland.
Oh, I forgot to mention that this was Texas's first time camping so he was a little whiny. Overall I had fun though. Everything else is going really well here! It's been super busy at work with a lot of people gone for conferences & with preparation for upcoming events! Coastguard Alaska show maybe coming in sometime to film in our building so I'll let you all know when I'm going to be a celebrity. If I think of anything else I'll put it in my next blog, God bless.
